The Ballarto Road is cut just East of the 1st Drain Bridge after Cardinia Footy Ground, and water extends in a solid deep sheet right up to the next Ballarto Rd Main Channel Drain Bridge. I estimate judging by the water in this stretch of road as being 1/2 way up the yellow diamond road sign poles, that the water in the P& DARCS field tractor shed and club house will be almost up to the window level. The grass tractors will be under water. I drove out from the field on Saturday at 5 past 1 pm and electric power went off at 3:35pm just after the last two East and West Web Cam shots as now to be viewed on pdarcs.com.au were saved by the Web Master.
Over night the water continued to flood to its maximum level. Some young men at Cardinia Shop having morning tea informed me this morning they were on their bikes on the Wenn Rd. bridge at 5:00pm and water was just starting to flow over the concrete of the bridge when they left to higher ground and safety.
Someone in a red ute driving West from Cardinia Shop in Ballarto Rd over the first bridge hit the flood waters at high speed, the damaged and flooded red ute was still there this morning when the Club Hierarchy went down for a look at the flood and to commence planning the next steps for recovery.
I hope our farmers nearby are O.K. and their houses are above the flood.
Bruce, our Tenant Farmer Cattleman was off this morning to get a boat to go in and manage his marooned cattle that graze on our property.
