US Aircraft's Cemetery Like You Never Seen it
US Aircraft's Cemetery Like You Never Seen it - One of the Most Interesting Place on Earth
An airplane graveyard, sometimes better known by the American term of aircraft boneyard, designates a storage area for aircraft that are discarded after their years of service or directly fault of budget or because of the presence of obsolete technology.
Most aircraft are kept for storage or converted into scrap after provision for spare parts. Deserts, like those in south-western United States, are good places for these cemeteries are, because of the size of the aircraft, very extensive.
The dry climate also reduces corrosion and potentially extends the shelf life.

F16 Drones
F16 Drones
This is awesome! Didn’t realize drone technology had advanced this far so quickly. They are using up their obsolete F-16’s. Not a good day for the future of manned aircraft. Seems like the PILOT is on the endangered list. This little four minute video is really something. A first for a full size jet airplane. Thousands of planes that were grave yard bound, with costs in the hundreds of millions, can now be used as never before. These F-16’s Boeing aircraft have been in the bone yard at Davis-Monahan for 15 years , and now being used as drones.
