Member Notification – Turbine Flying Restrictions Update
P&DARCS members are advised that, following recent improvements in field and environmental conditions, the temporary restrictions on turbine flying operations will be lifted , effective from 9am, Thursday February 5th.
The contractor has now completed grass cutting and baling activities in our immediate area, which has significantly reduced fuel load levels. Combined with the current favourable forecast weather conditions, this allows for the safe resumption of turbine flying operations under normal club safety and operational rules.
All turbine pilots are reminded that standard P&DARCS safety procedures, MAAA turbine operation requirements, and fire prevention protocols remain in place and must be strictly followed at all times.
The Committee will continue to monitor environmental and fire risk conditions. Should conditions become less favourable in the coming days or weeks, turbine operation restrictions may be reviewed and reintroduced if necessary to maintain member and community safety.
The P&DARCS Committee sincerely appreciates the cooperation and patience of members during the restriction period and looks forward to seeing turbine operations safely return to the field.
Kind Regards

Dear Members,
Please be advised that effective from 5:00 pm today, due to the fire risk, all model turbine operations at P&DARCS are to cease until further notice.
This suspension will remain in place until the outer field surrounding the runways has been cut and baled. This section of the field falls under the lease arrangements with our tenant, who is responsible for carrying out this work. Unfortunately, unavoidable delays have been encountered due to the recent extreme weather conditions.
The Committee is actively working with the Darcsfield Co-Operative and the tenant to have the required cutting and baling completed as soon as conditions permit. Members will be notified promptly once the runway is again suitable for turbine operations and the restriction is lifted. Please note, this restriction is currently for turbine operations only, and other conventionally powered models may still be flown, notwithstanding any further notices from the CFA.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this important matter.
Kind Regards
