At the last committee meeting two vacant positions were filled. Wal Schubach has accepted the position of Buildings Officer & Ivan Hancock has accepted the position of Club Captain. Wal’s main focus is getting the new toilet facilities built & Ivan has the job of getting together a P&DARCS team that can win the next VMAA trophy for us.
Remember, P&DARCS is owned & run by the members, not the committee. If you think you can help out with ANYTHING around the club, then talk to one of the committee members & get involved. We have a great club & we all need to contribute to help keep it running.

The P&DARCS action was just held at the Dingley Community Centre. It was a great night with approximately 130 item up for auction.
Many thanks to Daniel, Don and Rolly for their assistance at the receipts counter. For the third year running the proceeds balanced to the cent.
And special appreciation to Robert, Brian and Paul for assisting with bringing forward products and helping in the background and to Wal and Pearl for once again providing refreshments and to all that helped with setting up and putting everything away at the end of the night.
Thanks also to Fred Barabasz from Hallam Hobbies who donated a raffle prize that was one by our own President, Ivan Chiselett

Well, those of you paying attention will know that we had the OS Day on the 17th May. The day started of cold, but we had plenty of willing pilots (over 80).

This Hugely popular event was first run in November of 2006 to celebrate OS Engines 70th Anniversary. The event organised by Model Engines and supported by P&DARCS was a resounding success. So as with all successful formulas if they work once then there is a very good chance that they will work again. And it did work again in both 2007 and 2008.

The Annual Monty Tyrrell rally was held on Sunday 22nd March & we ended up with a total of 45 aircraft flying. The temperature was nice, but the wind was not.
We had winds up to 40 km/h so it certainly made for a testing day particularly when it came time to land. However, we had plenty of game pilots & they put on a great show for the judges & crowd alike.
